Johnny’s first book came out in 1995. He has since written over 85 hiking, paddling, camping, outdoor how-to and true outdoor adventure books, most of them in multiple editions.
Writing is Johnny’s full time job. Over the course of time Johnny has also expanded into writing for websites, magazines and even did a 10-year stint for his local paper.
Photography is an important aspect of Johnny’s outdoor guides, so he is also an accomplished photographer and has thousands of pictures to go along with his writing assignments.
